Handwoven Guatemalan Fabric Makes a Great Stole

I made this clergy stole using fabric that was handwoven in Guatemala. It was purchased from a vendor of international textiles in Dallas, TX. The quality of the weaving is excellent. Some of the tiny stripes are only one thread wide. The rich colors include red, orange, yellow, cobalt blue, green, and a little black and white. This fabric has a nice hand, slightly coarse compared to an Oxford shirt.

Solid Rock Design Clergy Stole

On a recent trip to Oregon I found this unusual fabric that looks like granite or marble. It has 17 shades of brown and gray. I've never seen a fabric like this before. Makes for a one-of-a-kind stole.

This purple stole was custom made for a customer. The little cross on the back, shown above, measures 1.25" tall. The fabric is high quality Kona cotton. The back is black Kona cotton (so it won't slide off your lap when you're sitting down). See all the stoles here.
